The Thirty-Ninth Semi-Annual Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, convened in the New Tabernacle, Salt Lake City, October 6-10, 1869, President Brigham Young presiding.

Wednesday, October 6 Morning Session: President Daniel H. Wells spoke on the government of God and home manufactures, and President George A. Smith spoke on the progress of the Kingdom of God (both summary only).

Wednesday, October 6 Afternoon Session: Elder Orson Pratt spoke on the restoration of the priesthood, and President Brigham Young also spoke (both summary only). Elder Orson Hyde then delivered [[1869-10-hyde-the-right-to-lead-the-church]] (filed separately), recounting his personal testimony of Brigham Young's 1844 Nauvoo address and addressing growing federal pressure over plural marriage.

Thursday, October 7 Morning Session: Missionary calls were read, and Elder Wilford Woodruff spoke on the laws of God over the laws of man (summary only).

Thursday, October 7 Afternoon Session: Elder Orson Pratt delivered [[1869-10-pratt-celestial-marriage]] (filed separately).

Friday, October 8 Morning Session: Elder Charles C. Rich and Elder Erastus Snow spoke, and President Brigham Young spoke on perfecting the Saints (all summary only).

Friday, October 8 Afternoon Session: Missionary calls were read, the General Authorities of the Church were sustained by vote of the Conference, and Elder Franklin D. Richards spoke (summary only). Saturday, October 9 Morning Session: Elder George Q. Cannon delivered [[1869-10-cannon-celestial-marriage]], and Elder Lorenzo Snow delivered [[1869-10-snow-acting-in-the-name-of-the]] (both filed separately). Missionary calls were read, and President Brigham Young also spoke (summary only).

Sunday, October 10 Morning Session: Elder Brigham Young, Jr., Elder Joseph F. Smith, Elder Erastus Snow, and President George A. Smith spoke (summary only).
