The Thirty-Second Annual Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, convened in the Tabernacle, Great Salt Lake City, Sunday, April 6, 1862, at 10 a.m., President Brigham Young presiding.

Smith, Ezra T. Benson, Lorenzo Snow, Erastus Snow, Franklin D. Richards; of the First Presidency of the Seventies, Joseph Young, Levi W. Hancock, Zera Pulsipher, Albert P. Rockwood; of the Presidency of the High Priests, John Young, Edwin D. Woolley, Samuel W. Richards; Presidency of the Stake, Daniel Spencer, David Fullmer, George B. The morning session opened with President Brigham Young's "Government of the Tongue—Impartiality in Judgment—Sealing" discourse (filed separately as [[1862-04-young-government-of-the-tongue-impartiality-in-judgment-sealing]]), followed by brief remarks from Elder John Taylor. The afternoon session opened with the Sacrament, administered by Bishops Hunter, Hardy, Kesler, Davis, Hoagland, and Sheets, followed by Elder Orson Hyde's "Trusting in the Almighty" discourse (filed separately as [[1862-04-hyde-trusting-in-the-almighty]]), Elder Erastus Snow's report on the cotton mission in southern Utah, and President Brigham Young's "Home Manufactures—Certain Destruction of the Enemies of Truth" discourse (filed separately as [[1862-04-young-home-manufacturescertain-destruction-of-the-enemies]]), urging self-sufficiency in textiles and other goods.

On Monday, April 7, Elder George A. Smith delivered "Necessity of Understanding the First Principles of the Gospel" (JD 10:59-64; filed separately as [[1862-04-smith-necessity-of-understanding-the-first-principles]]), President Young spoke on "Duties Connected With the Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthood" (filed separately as [[1862-04-young-duties-connected-with-the-aaronic-and]]), Elder Orson Hyde delivered "Bishops and Presidents" (JD 10:31-32; filed separately as [[1862-04-hyde-bishops-and-presidents]]), President Heber C. Kimball spoke on "Necessity of the Saints Possessing the Spirit of Revelation" (JD 9:298-299; filed separately as [[1862-04-kimball-necessity-of-the-saints-possessing-the]]), and Elder Ezra T. Benson delivered "Gratitude for the Blessings of the Gospel" (JD 10:65-66; filed separately as [[1862-04-benson-gratitude-for-the-blessings-of-the]]). In the afternoon, the General Authorities were sustained and President Daniel H. Wells gave "Instructions on Priesthood—Necessity for Diligence Among the Saints" (JD 9:299-303; filed separately as [[1862-04-wells-instructions-on-priesthoodnecessity-for-diligence-among]]), and President Young gave remarks on the "Authority of Bishops" (filed separately as [[1862-04-young-authority-of-bishopsbranch-organizationsassisting-the-mail]]). An evening Bishops' meeting heard from Elder Orson Hyde and Elder George A. Smith on cattle herding (JD 9:304; filed separately as [[1862-04-smith-counsel-on-cattle-herding]]).

On Tuesday, April 8, reports were given, followed by remarks from Elder Orson Pratt and Elder George A. Smith's "Corruption Among Government Officials" (JD 9:262-264; filed separately as [[1862-04-smith-corruption-among-government-officials]]). Elder Erastus Snow and President Young spoke on forming a State constitution (filed separately as [[1862-04-young-forming-a-state-constitutionraising-agricultural-productstrue]]). In the afternoon, Elder Lorenzo Snow and Elder Wilford Woodruff spoke, the latter delivering "Necessity of the Living Oracles Among the Saints" (JD 9:324-326; filed separately as [[1862-04-woodruff-necessity-of-the-living-oracles-among]]), followed by President Young.

On Wednesday, April 9, Elder Franklin D. Richards and President Heber C. Kimball closed the conference.
