Deseret News minutes (April 16, 1862, pp. 332-333) of the Thirty-Second Annual Conference, April 6-9, 1862. All fourteen discourses from this conference are filed separately as full talks: Brigham Young's 'Government of the Tongue—Impartiality in Judgment—Sealing,' 'Home Manufactures—Certain Destruction of the Enemies of Truth,' 'Duties Connected With the Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthood,' 'Authority of Bishops—Branch Organizations—Assisting the Mail and Telegraph Companies,' and 'Forming a State Constitution—Raising Agricultural Products—True Riches'; Orson Hyde's 'Trusting in the Almighty' and 'Bishops and Presidents'; George A. Smith's 'Necessity of Understanding the First Principles of the Gospel,' 'Corruption Among Government Officials,' and 'Counsel on Cattle Herding'; Daniel H. Wells' 'Instructions on Priesthood—Necessity for Diligence Among the Saints'; Heber C. Kimball's 'Necessity of the Saints Possessing the Spirit of Revelation'; Ezra T. Benson's 'Gratitude for the Blessings of the Gospel'; and Wilford Woodruff's 'Necessity of the Living Oracles Among the Saints.' This record covers only the surrounding conference business (attendance, sustaining, session structure, reports, hymns/prayers) and is not itself a discourse.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Proofread against the official/CHL/JSP source plus scan/OCR witness; fixed a stale-claims bug where fidelity_notes and body parentheticals said nine of the conference's fourteen discourses were 'not yet transcribed,' when all fourteen already exist as separate talk files in this vault; added [[talk-id]] cross-links for every discourse mentioned in the body and corrected a volume-number typo (Kimball's discourse is JD 9:298-299, not JD 10:298-299).

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: cross-checked the full session-by-session order of business (April 6-9, 1862) against historicalgeneralconferences.weebly.com raw HTML, which reproduces the Deseret News minutes; confirmed every discourse title, date, and session placement named in this record matches an existing separate talk file, and fixed the stale 'not yet transcribed' notes accordingly. No boundary or transcription issues found in this record itself.
