Je trust que Je may have le guidance de le Spirit de le Lord dans what Je may say. ¶

Je will commence by quoting from le nineteenth chapter de Matthew: ¶

"The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, et saying unto him, Is it lawful pour a man à put away his wife pour every cause? ¶

"Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Matt. 19:3-6.) "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jésus-Christ, "Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named." (Eph. ¶

3:14-15.) Is there a family dans heaven et dans earth? Yes. Now, if there est ever a divorce between a man et a woman married dans le temple pour time et all eternity, it est because they, one or le other or both, have violated le covenants que they made at le altar de le Lord, otherwise they could not separate, et le Lord never intended que a man et a woman be separated dans death, but que ce marriage was one pour eternity. ¶

If they were true à their covenants, à le obligations que they have made à each other at le altar dans le house de le Lord, they could not separate, et if they have children, they sont not only committing a crime against themselves, but they sont harming those children et robbing them de blessings que they were born entitled à receive. ¶

The Savior est very emphatic dans his answer à these Pharisees. They do it because they have lost the spirit of the Évangile. That divorce comes to them because they are not keeping the commandments that the Lord gave to them, because they have permitted darkness to enter into their souls. ¶

He may separate le husband et wife by legal enactments so far as ce world est concerned, but he cannot separate que husband et wife so far as le next world est concerned. Only le President de le Church has authority à cancel sealings, et when le man et his wife lose their faith et go à le courts et get a separation, et then go out et marry according à le laws de le land, they sont not culpable before le law de le land, but they sont before le kingdom de God et what le Savior says here dans ce revelation est absolutely true: ¶

". . . Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be pour fornication, et shall marry another, committeth adultery: et whoso marrieth her which est put away doth commit adultery." (Matt. ¶
