Legrand Richards · 1970 April General Conference · 1970-04-01
OCR ingestion with auto-cleaning and paragraph reflowing. Archive snapshot pending.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Light review: in-context proofread, synopsis/session-artifact cleanup, and spacing fixes. NOT a full page-by-page scan collation.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: source_url (archive.org conferencereport1970a, n147) confirmed as correct IA item/era. This file had badly bled boundaries: after Richards's closing 'Amen,' the raw OCR had appended Harold B. Lee's transition remarks, all of President Joseph Fielding Smith's separate closing-prayer talk, further Lee remarks, the full Tabernacle Choir/Music-and-the-Spoken-Word broadcast transcript, the conference music summary, and the entire back-of-report Index (~180 lines) -- none of which belongs to Richards's talk. Removed all of it back to the talk's actual close. Fixed running-head/page-break bleed mid-sentence ('GENERAL CONFERENCE Monday, April 6', 'Third Day') and an OCR misprint of the abbreviation 'Mai.' -> 'Mal.' for Malachi. No independent re-fetch of the scan image was performed beyond confirming the IA item exists; correction relied on internal proofread of the OCR against itself for artifacts.
This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
