Thomas S. Monson · 1970 April General Conference · 1970-04-05
OCR ingestion with auto-cleaning and paragraph reflowing. Archive snapshot pending.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Light review: in-context proofread, synopsis/session-artifact cleanup, and spacing fixes. NOT a full page-by-page scan collation.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: source_url (archive.org conferencereport1970a, n100) confirmed as correct IA item/era for this conference. Removed ~600 lines of bled-in session business (Sunday School announcement, choir/adjournment notes, and the entire Third Day solemn-assembly sustaining-vote transcript) that had been OCR-appended after the talk's closing 'Amen.' Removed running-head fragments ('GENERAL CONFERENCE Sunday, April 5', '100 GENERAL C Monday, April 6') bled mid-sentence, repaired a running-head word split ('kingSecond Day dom' -> 'kingdom'), and fixed OCR typos ('man)'' -> 'many', 'Ho described' -> 'He described', 'Emaeus' -> 'Emmaus'). No independent re-fetch of the scan image was performed beyond confirming the IA item exists; textual correction relied on internal proofread of the OCR against itself for artifacts, not a fresh page-image diff.
This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
