No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Proofread against the IA scan/OCR witness (conferencereport1970a); fixed title (leading 'M' was a misOCR'd bullet glyph, not part of the speech), removed bled-in running heads and trailing transition text, corrected calling/date/session.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: collated against the conferencereport1970a djvu OCR witness (leaves ~2419-2591, Second Session, Saturday afternoon, April 4 1970; first speaker of that session per the Evans-talk session-opening note). Confirmed speaker introduced as 'Elder Gordon B. Hinckley, Of the Council of the Twelve.' Fixed the title — the leading 'm' was OCR misreading the bullet/pilcrow glyph that marks the start of every talk in this volume, not a word the speaker said. Removed bled-in running-head artifacts mid-paragraph ('GENERAL CONFERENCE Saturday, April 4' twice; a stray 'First Day' twice) and a page-running-head fragment mid-sentence ('ELDER MARVIN J. ASHTON' bled into the middle of the pioneer-narrative quotation, between 'My brother James' and '... was as well as he ever was' — removed, restoring the sentence). Stripped trailing material that did not belong to this talk (President Joseph Fielding Smith's introduction of the next speaker, Marvin J. Ashton). Talk now ends at Hinckley's own '...in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.' Date corrected to 1970-04-04 (Second Session, Saturday afternoon); date_precision corrected to exact.
