Heavyweight pass: verified source as the Church History Library-contributed Internet Archive scan conferencereport1968sa (138th Semi-Annual Conference, held Fri Oct 4 - Sun Oct 6, 1968). Rebuilt page reading order from the scan's DjVu XML word-coordinate data (scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py) and cross-checked every talk boundary against the report's own exhaustive back-of-book index (leaf n153-158), which lists every address with its own page range and sub-topic headings -- as with recent 1966-1968 conferences, this conference's original ingest had split most talks into two fragment files and had misattributed several fragments to the wrong speaker via running-head OCR bleed, which the index and the scan's own running heads made it possible to correctly identify, reattribute, and merge. Confirmed session and exact date from the report's own dateline (Friday Oct 4 = First Day, Saturday Oct 5 = Second Day plus the Saturday-evening General Priesthood Meeting, Sunday Oct 6 = Third Day); corrected date_precision from month to exact and added the session field (both were previously unset). Added a page-anchored source_url (leaf n49 of conferencereport1968sa) in place of the bare item link. Merged with a further file that was a fragment of this same discourse split apart during the original ingest. This is President N. Eldon Tanner's Second Day Morning address, distinct from his Saturday-evening General Priesthood Meeting address later in this conference.
This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
