Even Though Time Is Short, I Cannot...

S. Dilworth Young · 1968 April General Conference · 1968-04-06

Fidelity

◕Authoritative print

Transcribed from the official printed Conference Report of the One Hundred Thirty-eighth Annual (April 1968) General Conference, digitized by the Church History Library and hosted at the Internet Archive (item conferencereport1968a), pp. 84-85. Reading order rebuilt from the item's DjVu OCR word coordinates (scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py). This address had never been ingested into the vault under its own name; a prior heavyweight pass flagged it as missing (per the DATA QUALITY FLAG in 1968-04-brown-bishop-victor-l-brown-of-the-presiding.md). This final review pass discovered that the entire address had, in fact, already been ingested, but was misattributed and merged into the following speaker's file (1968-04-evans-in-whom-they-have-not-believed-and.md) because the printed running head at the top of leaf n87 reads "ELDER RICHARD L. EVANS" (Evans's talk begins partway down that page), which caused the original automated ingestion to misfile the tail of Young's talk as if it were the opening of Evans's. Recovered in full and reattributed to this file; removed from the Evans file. Running heads, page numbers, and leaf markers removed; de-hyphenated line breaks and reflowed paragraphs; printed editorial side-heads preserved as Markdown headings without altering wording.
