Ingestion of a missing discourse: the conference's opening address, given by President McKay himself (age 93, per President Hugh B. Brown's introduction) rather than read by a son, on the perils and possibilities of the atomic age, threats to free agency and the American constitutional tradition, and the responsibility to preach the gospel plan of salvation. This entire address was previously missing from the vault; the conference's first ingested talk was Elder Thomas S. Monson's address (already ingested as 1966-10-monson-major-island-groups-large-volcanic.md, talk_order 1), which in fact follows McKay's opening. Rebuilt page reading order from conferencereport1966sa's DjVu XML word-coordinate data (scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py); confirmed the address spans leaf n5 (where President Brown introduces McKay to give the opening address) through leaf n10 (ending 'Amen', followed by Brown's introduction of Monson). De-hyphenated and reflowed against the scan text. Renumbered talk_order 1, shifting all other talks in this conference (previously 1-31) to 2-32, matching the global sequential talk_order schema already in use across this conference's other files, and the 1956-10/1957-04/1958-04/1958-10/1959-04/1959-10/1961-04/1961-10/1962-04/1962-10/1963-04/1963-10/1964-04/1965-04/1965-10/1966-04 precedent for reinserting missing McKay discourses generally.
