Here Are Always Overwhelming Feelings

Richard L. Evans · 1954 April General Conference · 1954-04-05

Fidelity

◕Authoritative print

Officially published Conference Report; proofread against IA scan conferencereport1954a (leaves 83-86, printed pp. 83-86). CHL/official-Church verification not completed this session (client-rendered SPA catalog not reachable by available tools); IA retained as top-level source per docs/review.md.

Witnesses

No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Proofread against the official/CHL/JSP source plus scan/OCR witness; merged a false paragraph break at a column-wrap point ('..."pursue the subject" / sooner.').

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: CHL catalog record for April 1954 could not be verified this session (client-rendered SPA, no browser tool access); IA scan conferencereport1954a kept as retained top-level source per docs/review.md. Page-by-page collation against the scan (leaves 83-86, printed pp. 83-86) confirms this is Elder Richard L. Evans's (Council of the Twelve) address opening the Third Day Afternoon Meeting (fifth session), Monday, April 5, 1954, per President McKay's introduction ('Our first speaker this afternoon is Elder Richard L. Evans...He will be followed by Elder Eldred G. Smith'); followed by Elder Eldred G. Smith. Set talk_order 1, exact date, calling, and session. Kept the printed opening 'HERE are always...' as-is (drop-cap initial letter not captured by OCR, consistent with how sibling talks in this conference were handled, e.g. Longden's 'AM sure...'); did not reconstruct the missing initial letter. Body otherwise matches scan verbatim aside from the paragraph-break fix noted above.
