◕Authoritative print

Official printed text of the One Hundred Twenty-third Annual (April) General Conference, held April 4, 5, and 6, 1953. The Church History Catalog record for the April 1953 Conference Report could not be independently verified this session (client-rendered catalog site; no browser access available); the Internet Archive scan (conferencereport1953a) is retained as the top-level source rather than guessing a record ID. Heavyweight review collated the text page-by-page against that scan (leaves 95-100); corrected a duplicated-word OCR error ("The Church has has some interests") and a digit/space OCR misread ("1 19th section" to "119th section"); separated the D&C 119:6, D&C 85:3, D&C 120 (disbursement), Malachi 3:10, and John 7:16-17 scripture blocks, and the several Brigham Young quotations from Discourses of Brigham Young, from surrounding prose.

Witnesses

No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Proofread against IA scan/OCR witness; fixed a duplicated word and a digit/letter OCR misread, reflowed scripture and discourse quotations.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: page-by-page collation against IA scan conferencereport1953a (leaves 95-100); talk boundaries, session (Second Day Afternoon Meeting), date (Sunday, April 5, 1953), calling (Presiding Bishop of the Church, per the printed running head), and talk_order (sixth and final speaker of the session, following Matthew Cowley per President McKay's introduction) confirmed against the printed text. CHL catalog record for April 1953 could not be verified with available tools this session; kept IA scan as source per docs/review.md rather than fabricate a record ID.
