Conference Address

Levi Edgar Young · 1946 April General Conference · 1946-04-05

Fidelity

◕Authoritative print

Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the One Hundred Sixteenth Annual Conference (April 5, 6, and 7, 1946), hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1946a). Reading order was reconstructed from DjVu XML with the repository helper, then cleaned: running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed; paragraphs reflowed; obvious OCR errors corrected. Heavyweight review collated the discourse page-by-page against the Church History Library preservation scan on the Internet Archive (conferencereport1946a); running heads, page numbers, page-break hyphenation, and OCR/spelling errors were corrected. Title is supplied.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Heavyweight proofread against the Church History Library Conference Report scan/OCR (Internet Archive conferencereport1946a), building on the prior gemini-3.5-flash light pass. Residual running heads, page numbers, page-break hyphenation, and OCR/spelling errors were corrected.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: page-by-page collation against the Church History Library preservation scan/OCR (Internet Archive conferencereport1946a) of the One Hundred Sixteenth Annual Conference (April 5-7, 1946). The Church publishes no 1946 General Conference text online (its online archive begins in 1971) and the Church History Catalog item is a JavaScript-rendered viewer with no stable deep link, so the CHL-contributed Internet Archive scan is kept as the verified institutional source_url. Running heads, page numbers, page-break hyphenation, stray layout glyphs, and OCR/spelling errors were corrected.
