◕Authoritative print

Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the One Hundred Twelfth Semi-Annual Conference (October 3-5, 1941), hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1941sa). Reading order was reconstructed from DjVu XML with the repository helper, then cleaned by script: running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed; obvious OCR errors corrected. Not yet proofread page-by-page against the scan images, so minor residual OCR errors may remain (status: draft, pending review). Title is supplied.

Witnesses

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Proofread against the Internet Archive conferencereport1941sa scan/OCR; confirmed body text, date/session metadata already correct.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: verified source as the Internet Archive scan conferencereport1941sa (112th Semi-Annual Conference, held Fri Oct 3 - Sun Oct 5, 1941). Rebuilt page reading order from the scan's DjVu XML word-coordinate data (scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py) and cross-checked every talk boundary, date, and session against the report's own exhaustive back-of-book index (leaf n151-155), which lists every address with its own page range and sub-topic headings. Unlike the heavily-fragmented 1966-1969 conferences, this conference's original ingest was already complete and accurate: all 34 vault files map one-to-one to the 34 real discourses listed in the index (the index's two remaining entries, a Chief of Police traffic-safety appeal and a one-line suggestion of prayer for President Grant, are procedural announcements rather than General Authority addresses and were correctly never ingested as separate talk files), and the existing date/session/talk_order/source_url metadata was already correct. Removed a handful of residual running-head page-break artifacts (stray 'First/Second/Third Day' lines and one stray page-marker letter splitting a hyphenated word) from a few files' bodies. Confirmed no speaker misattributions and no missing addresses this pass.

Corrections

This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
