Fidelity

◕Authoritative print

Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the One Hundred and Seventh Semi-Annual Conference (October 1936), hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1936sa). Reading order was reconstructed from the DjVu word coordinates with scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py, segmented using matched line bounds, then cleaned: running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed; paragraphs reflowed. Not yet proofread line-by-line against the scan images (status: draft, pending review).

Witnesses

No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Proofread against the Internet Archive conferencereport1936sa scan/OCR; confirmed body text, date/session metadata already correct.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: verified source as the Internet Archive scan conferencereport1936sa (107th Semi-Annual Conference, held Fri Oct 2 - Sun Oct 4, 1936; note the IA identifier metadata points to a djvu.xml filename that does not match the identifier itself, conferencereport1072chur_djvu.xml). Rebuilt page reading order from the scan's DjVu XML word-coordinate data (scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py) and cross-checked every talk boundary and session against the report's own back-of-book index (leaf n131-134), which lists every address (the index's own tail end is itself partially garbled by an OCR column-read error losing several leaf numbers, but all were independently recovered by locating each file's opening words directly in the scan). This conference's original ingest was already complete: all 40 vault files map to the real discourses, and existing date/session/talk_order metadata was already correct. Filled in page-anchored source_url values for four files that still had only the bare item link, and swept out running-head/page-break bleed artifacts from about 34 files' bodies. Confirmed no missing addresses this pass.

Corrections

This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
