Heber J. Grant · 1926 October General Conference · 1926-10-05
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report published by the Deseret News and hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1926sa). Running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Proofread against the official/CHL/JSP source plus scan/OCR witness; corrected session (Concluding Session, Tuesday afternoon, October 5, 1926, not Second Day Morning) and date to exact, corrected calling_at_time and title casing, removed an embedded running head and stray OCR characters, reflowed the three internal subheadings into paragraph breaks.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: authoritative source URL verified (archive.org conferencereport1926sa, printed pp. 155-156); page-by-page collation against scan/OCR witness. This is President Heber J. Grant's closing address of the conference, comprising three printed subsections ('The Labors of President James E. Talmage,' 'The Saints Requested to Apply Scripture,' 'A Blessing for Priesthood and Auxiliary Workers and the Saints,' confirmed against the conference index at p.155-156), delivered immediately after the sustaining of General Authorities and Officers (1926-10-46) in the Concluding Session, Tuesday afternoon, October 5, 1926. Corrected session from 'Second Day Morning Session' (wrong) to 'Concluding Session' and date from approximate 1926-10-01 to exact 1926-10-05. Confirmed the TRUE END of the entire 1926 October conference: the OCR shows this address ends at 'Amen,' immediately followed by session-business only ('The congregation sang, "The time is far spent," and the benediction was pronounced by Elder E. Frank Birch... The conference adjourned for six months.') — that closing-session business is correctly NOT included in this talk file, and no further discourse follows in the conference. Removed one embedded 'GENERAL CONFERENCE' running-head artifact that had bled into the scripture quotation, and stray OCR characters/typos ('-the' to 'the', ''hearts' to 'hearts', 'jwho' to 'who', ''my' to 'my', '(Lord' to 'Lord', 'Redeemed' retained as printed [likely OCR misreading of 'Redeemer' but kept per no-invention policy — flagged for awareness]). No missing text; no OCR corruption requiring restoration.
