Fidelity

◕Authoritative print

Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report published by the Deseret News and hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1926sa). This file is a direct mid-sentence continuation of President Grant's officer-changes report from 1926-10-01 (no new speaker heading in the source) through his reading of Alma 29 and remarks on the joy of missionary work; it continues without a break into 1926-10-03. Running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed.

Witnesses

No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Proofread against the official/CHL/JSP source plus scan/OCR witness; corrected the speaker/speaker_id from a placeholder ('Of That Mission From South America.') to Heber J. Grant — the placeholder was generated from an OCR fragment describing Rey L. Pratt's return 'from South America,' not an actual speaker; there is no South American mission president talk at this point in the source. Also fixed a hyphenation-break artifact ('German- Austrian' to 'German-Austrian'), normalized a lowercase section header, and set the exact session date (1926-10-03, per the source's own dateline) in place of the approximate first-of-month placeholder.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: source URL verified against archive.org conferencereport1926sa (print page 3, IA leaf n4); page-by-page collation against scan/OCR witness confirmed the body matches the OCR verbatim (after the hyphenation and casing fixes noted in review_notes). Boundary/speaker check: confirmed by direct OCR search that 'Rey L. Pratt' and 'South America' appear nowhere else in the source except in the sentence 'on account of the return of Rey L. Pratt, president of that mission, from South America' at the end of 1926-10-01 — there is no separate South American mission president talk; this file is the second of a four-file split of one continuous Heber J. Grant discourse in the print source, picking up mid-sentence with no new running head. No adjacent hymn/session-business bleed.
