Fidelity

◕Authoritative print

Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report published by the Deseret News and hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1919a). This is the sustaining of Heber J. Grant as President of the Church, correctly dated to this conference (June 1, 1919 — his first conference as President after Joseph F. Smith's death). Running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Light review: in-context proofread, synopsis/session-artifact cleanup, and spacing fixes. NOT a full page-by-page scan collation.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: source_url (archive.org conferencereport1919a, n4) confirmed as correct IA item/era. The body previously cut off mid-word at 'Hyrum G. Smith, as Presiding'; checked against the OCR (conferencereport1919a_djvu.txt) and confirmed this is not a real truncation, only a clean file split -- the sentence completes as 'Patriarch of the Church.' Restored that missing phrase verbatim from the OCR to close out the Hyrum G. Smith line, then stopped the file there since the next sentence ('The Counselors in the First Presidency...') is the genuine start of the adjacent file 1919-06-03-of-the-church-remarks-3, which already carries the rest of the sustaining list, the vote count, and the overflow-meeting announcement (also already heavyweight-reviewed). Downgraded fidelity from fragmentary to authoritative_print since no text is actually missing once the boundary is understood. Cleaned up spacing around colons/semicolons and removed a run-on line break in the Twelve Apostles list. Fixed a stray trailing period on the speaker field. No independent re-fetch of the scan image was performed beyond confirming the IA item exists.
