Anthon H. Lund · 1916 October General Conference · 1916-10-06
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report published by the Deseret News and hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1916sa). Running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Light review: in-context proofread, synopsis/session-artifact cleanup, and spacing fixes. NOT a full page-by-page scan collation.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: reconstructed true reading order from conferencereport1916sa's DjVu XML via scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py. Found a major bundling error from the original ingest: this file had absorbed two entirely separate, subsequent addresses (Charles W. Penrose's and Francis M. Lyman's, each with its own printed byline and dash-synopsis) under Lund's id/speaker, plus the First Day Afternoon Session's own opening session-record block in between. Trimmed to Lund's talk only, ending at his own 'Amen.' Split the afternoon-session opening into a new conference_record file, and the Penrose and Lyman addresses into their own new files (see 1916-10-07b/07c/07d). No wording changed within Lund's own remaining text beyond removing the trailing contamination; boundary confirmed clean against the true 'PREST. CHARLES W. PENROSE.' byline that follows.
This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
