Session notes: Second Day closes, Third Day opens

Conference record · 1916 April General Conference · 1916-04-09

Fidelity

○Fragmentary

Session housekeeping notes (closing hymn, benediction, adjournment, and the Third Day's own overflow-meeting announcement and opening hymns/prayer) recovered from the ingest gap between Hyrum G. Smith's Second Day talk and Orson F. Whitney's Third Day talk; this content had been dropped entirely rather than misattributed.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Newly ingested and reviewed in the same pass; see heavyweight_review_notes for detail.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: while reconstructing true reading order for the surrounding talks via scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py, found this entire session-record block was missing from the vault, dropped between the 1916-04-16 and 1916-04-17 files during the original ingest. Recovered verbatim from conferencereport1916a. Reflowed a line that was interleaved out of order in the raw OCR ('a duet and chorus, was rendered by' / 'day, April 9th, at 10 a.m.' printed on the same line as two unrelated fragments -- reconstructed the intended reading using the reading-order tool's column-aware output). No missing/invented text.
