Session notes: Authorities sustained, Church Auditors' Report, First Day closes, Second Day opens

Conference record · 1916 April General Conference · 1916-04-06

Fidelity

○Fragmentary

Session-business record (sustaining of General Authorities, the Church Auditing Committee's annual report, and the First Day's close/Second Day's opening) misfiled in the original ingest as an individual discourse by the phantom speaker 'Of The Church.' Reclassified as record_type: conference_record.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Light review: in-context proofread, synopsis/session-artifact cleanup, and spacing fixes. NOT a full page-by-page scan collation.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: reconstructed true reading order from conferencereport1916a's DjVu XML via scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py. Restored this record's true opening line ('AUTHORITIES SUSTAINED.' plus Elder Heber J. Grant presenting the names), which had been wrongly left attached to the end of Francis M. Lyman's preceding talk (1916-04-07) instead of here. Fixed OCR letter-errors: 'Writer' -> 'Riter' (confirmed against 'W. W. Riter' in the auditors' own signature block later in this same record), 'Williard' -> 'Willard', 'IT'/'IT.' -> 'H.', 'Trustee-inTrust' -> 'Trustee-in-Trust'. Removed a running-head fragment ('CHURCH AUDITORS' REPORT.') that had been glued mid-sentence into the Auditing Committee's name list at a page break, and rejoined the split name. Reclassified from a phantom-speaker discourse to record_type: conference_record with an honest title. No missing/invented text.
