Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Light review: in-context proofread, synopsis/session-artifact cleanup, and spacing fixes. NOT a full page-by-page scan collation.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: verified verbatim against conferencereport1916a OCR via reconstructed reading order. Corrected session from 'First Day Morning Session' to 'First Day Afternoon Session' -- the reconstructed order shows George Albert Smith's talk closing the morning, followed by an anthem/benediction/adjournment and the afternoon's own opening hymns, before this talk begins (see the newly-created 1916-04-conference-record-session-notes-12b.md for that recovered gap). Removed a mid-paragraph running-head artifact. Fixed scattered OCR letter-errors throughout (manv/many, T/I, Washing-ton/Washington, Latterday/Latter-day, and similar). No missing/invented text.

Corrections

This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
