John L. Herrick · 1913 October General Conference · 1913-10-06

Heavyweight pass fixed the speaker's name: the printed byline is OCR'd as "ELDER JOHN I. HE&RICK." and a running head elsewhere (mid-body of the previous talk) reads "ELDER JOHN L. EIERRICK." -- both are garbled renderings of the surname "Herrick," with the given-name initial ambiguous between "I." and "L." across the two OCR passes. Adopted "John L. Herrick," matching the historical Western States Mission president of this era; flagging the initial for the editors/further verification if a cleaner source turns up. Corrected session/date from "Second Day Afternoon Session"/1913-10-05 to "Third Day Afternoon Session (Closing Session)"/1913-10-06: this talk follows Charles A. Callis's talk (see 1913-10-55).
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: verified against archive.org/details/conferencereport1913sa leaves 131-133 (page/n130 through page/n132), page-by-page collation against the scan/OCR witness. Confirmed boundary: opens with its own byline and calling immediately after Charles A. Callis's talk closes with "...promised before the world began. Amen." (see 1913-10-55), and closes with "...May we be able to do so under the inspiration of heaven, I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen." immediately before German E. Ellsworth's talk (see 1913-10-57).
