Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Heavyweight pass fixed a major restoration issue caused by a linearized DjVu OCR page (see cr-reading-order.py's documented limitation): the printed page interleaves this talk's own byline/synopsis block with its opening paragraph in the wrong order in the raw text layer, and the previous ingest had split the true reading order into two files at the exact spot the OCR breaks down, cutting off before the byline was reached and losing the true opening sentence (formerly 1913-10-39-lemuel-h-redd-remarks-39, which was actually session-record material misattributed to Redd, who only pronounced a benediction the day before). Reconstructed correct reading order by hand from the page image logic: byline+synopsis, then "This morning we have met together...", then "In reading the scriptures, which I trust this great congregation is accustomed to do..." (the two halves of one sentence that the OCR had printed on either side of the scripture quotations). Corrected session/date from "Second Day Morning Session"/1913-10-05 to "Third Day Morning Session"/1913-10-06. Removed a stray running-head bleed mid-body ("ELDER DAVID O. McKAY.", the running head for the NEXT talk printed one page early; confirmed by content, the surrounding paragraphs are continuous with Smith's own talk in the first person). Fixed OCR errors ("Tn"->"In", "doing1"->"doing").

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: verified against archive.org/details/conferencereport1913sa leaves 102-103 (page/n101 through page/n102), page-by-page collation against the scan/OCR witness under the "ELDER GEORGE ALBERT SMITH." running head/byline. Confirmed boundary: opens the Third Day Morning Session immediately after its session-opening hymns and prayer by Elder James Wotherspoon (see 1913-10-conference-record-session-notes-39), and closes with "...is my prayer for you and all our Father's children, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen." immediately before David O. McKay's talk, which opens with its own byline and printed synopsis (see 1913-10-41).
