Heavyweight pass restored this talk as its own file. It had been fully absorbed, unattributed, into the old 1913-10-02-george-q-cannon file (which wrongly combined Joseph F. Smith's Opening Address with this talk under one mistaken byline). Split out using the "PRESIDENT ANTHON H. LUND." running heads (pp. 9, 11, 13) and its own printed synopsis line. Removed running heads/page numbers and mid-body running-head repeats, de-hyphenated, reflowed paragraphs, fixed OCR errors ("Tt"->"It", stray printer's marks).
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: verified against archive.org/details/conferencereport1913sa leaves 9-13 (page/n9), collated against the page scans. This talk follows immediately after Joseph F. Smith's Opening Address (see 1913-10-01) and is confirmed by its own printed synopsis ("Blessing attending Conference gathings...") and by the "PRESIDENT ANTHON H. LUND." running head on every subsequent page through its close ("...I ask it in the name of Jesus. Amen."). Anthon H. Lund was serving as Second Counselor in the First Presidency at this conference. Confirmed the boundary: Joseph F. Smith's brief follow-up remarks on the Word of Wisdom ("If I may be indulged just a moment...", see 1913-10-03) begin immediately after this talk's closing Amen, under a "PRESIDENT JOSEPH F. SMITH." byline, followed by a closing hymn and the adjournment of the First Day Morning Session.
