Hyrum G. Smith · 1913 April General Conference · 1913-04-06
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report published by the Deseret News and hosted at the Internet Archive, dedicated April 1913 scan (conferencereport1913a, file prefix conferencereport831chur). Running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Heavyweight pass: this short address by Patriarch Hyrum G. Smith did not exist as its own file; it had been merged into 1913-04-54 under Brigham H. Roberts's name, along with wrong-sourced (October 1912) material. Created this file with the true text, verified against the dedicated April 1913 scan.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: verified against archive.org/details/conferencereport1913a leaf 119 (page/n119, running head 'PATRIARCH HYRUM G. SMITH'). Confirmed boundaries: begins immediately after the tenor solo 'Be thou faithful unto death' (Prof. Elihu Call) with 'Declaration that the Lord is pleased with His people...' and ends '...is my prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.', immediately before Brigham H. Roberts's address (Of the First Council of Seventy). The former 1913-04-54 file incorrectly attributed this text to Roberts and merged it with unrelated, wrong-sourced material. Correction (continued re-ingest pass): date/session were mislabeled 1913-04-05/Second Day Afternoon Session; independently re-tracing the full true reading order from talk_order 1 through the conference's close (leaf 125) confirms this leaf falls in the Third Day (Sunday, April 6) Closing Session, immediately after Heber J. Grant, Hyrum M. Smith, and President Joseph F. Smith's brief interjection reading two telegrams both dated April 5 (received/read the next day). Corrected accordingly; no body text changed.
