Andrew Jenson · 1913 April General Conference · 1913-04-06
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report published by the Deseret News and hosted at the Internet Archive, dedicated April 1913 scan (conferencereport1913a, file prefix conferencereport831chur). Running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Heavyweight pass: this address by Andrew Jenson (Assistant Church Historian) did not exist as its own file in the prior ingest; two existing files (talk_order 21 "Andrew J En Son" and talk_order 44 "Andrew Jenson") were wrong-sourced October 1912 contamination and a garbled two-column October-1912-scan transcription of this same address, respectively — neither was usable in place. Created this file with the true text from the dedicated conferencereport1913a scan via XY-cut reading-order extraction. De-hyphenated and reflowed.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: verified against archive.org/details/conferencereport1913a leaves 78-81 (page/n78, running head 'ELDER ANDREW JENSON.' / 'ELDER ANDREW JEN SON.'). Confirmed boundaries: begins in the Third Day Morning Overflow Meeting immediately after Charles H. Hart's address and a ladies' quartet selection, opening '(Assistant Church Historian.) As I picked up the Bible in the commencement of our services...' and ends '...is my prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.', immediately before George F. Richards's address. A stray 'ELDER GEORGE F.RICHARDS.' running head appears mid-page atop leaf 81 while Jenson's own text visibly continues underneath it (a page-proof artifact, the running head evidently set for the upcoming page break); the true 'ELDER GEORGE F. RICHARDS.' byline with its synopsis line follows only after Jenson's closing 'Amen.' Continues the Third Day Morning Overflow Meeting (no session break). Superseded talk_order 44 (garbled interleaved OCR of this same address from the wrong conferencereport83chur scan); that file has been removed. talk_order 21's wrong-sourced content (a different, October-1912-only Andrew Jenson address as 'Late President of Scandinavian Mission,' with no April 1913 counterpart found in this scan) remains unresolved pending its own true-position identification.
