Charles W. Penrose · 1912 October General Conference · 1912-10-06
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report published by the Deseret News and hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1912sa). Running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Light review: in-context proofread, synopsis/session-artifact cleanup, and spacing fixes. NOT a full page-by-page scan collation.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: this file was entirely misattributed to a phantom speaker 'Junius Romuey' (OCR noise, not a real name) with the wrong date/session (labeled First Day Afternoon; the body's own dateline says 'THIRD DAY... resumed... Sunday, October 6th'). The body is in fact Charles W. Penrose's discourse (embedded running heads read 'PREST. CHARLES W. PENROSE.' throughout). Corrected speaker, speaker_id, title (from the printed synopsis), date, and session. Removed leaked leading session-housekeeping material (Third Day resumption announcement, overflow-meeting notice, hymns, prayer) that preceded Penrose's actual talk. Confirmed body complete and closing 'Amen' intact. 0 QC ERRORs.
This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
