Session notes: Third Day opens

Conference record · 1911 October General Conference · 1911-10-08

Fidelity

○Fragmentary

Session housekeeping notes (hymn, prayer, or adjournment announcement) misfiled in the original ingest as an individual discourse under a garbled auto-generated speaker/title. Reclassified as record_type: conference_record during heavyweight review; no individual sermon content was lost or removed.

Witnesses

No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Heavyweight pass: reclassified as a conference_record (the ingest had misattributed this to 'Lewis Anderson,' who is only mentioned as having pronounced the benediction closing the PRIOR talk, 1911-10-17); corrected id/title/speaker and anchored source_url leaf; fixed a spacing error.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: reconstructed true reading order from the conferencereport1911sa DjVu XML word coordinates (scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py) and corrected the source_url leaf from n64 to the confirmed n63. Discovered this file was misattributed: its id/title/speaker had been auto-generated from 'Elder Lewis Anderson,' the name of the elder who pronounced the benediction closing the previous talk (1911-10-17-david-mkay-remarks-17.md) -- that benediction and adjournment note has been restored there. This file's actual body opens the Third Day (Sunday, Oct 8) session: called to order, overflow meeting announced, hymn, prayer by Charles A. Callis, a quartette, and President Smith's announcement of Orson F. Whitney's memorial address for the late Apostle Orson Pratt. Fixed a missing space ('order byPresident' -> 'order by President'). Content verified complete against the scan.
