Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Heavyweight pass: split a separate David O. McKay address out of the end of this file (see heavyweight_review_notes); extensive OCR letter-error cleanup.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: reconstructed true reading order from the conferencereport1909a DjVu XML word coordinates (scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py). Fixed roughly twenty OCR letter/spacing errors throughout (took -> book, larg-e -> large, assailing \u005ehe -> assailing the, Soaulding -> Spaulding, lyina: lios -> lying lips, iime -> time, ethnologist, one -> ethnologist, one, irij/jn -> in, allovy -> allow, pities -> cities, Bookj -> Book, Neohi -> Nephi, referringto -> referring to, and several stray apostrophes/punctuation marks). Split out a separate address by David O. McKay ('Builders and Murmurers') that had been wrongly appended to the end of this file (running head 'EIDER DAVID 0. M'KAY.', OCR misread of 'ELDER DAVID O. McKAY.') into new file 1909-04-mckay-builders-and-murmurers.md -- talk_order 18 (shared with this file, since they occur back-to-back in the same afternoon session; a full renumbering of the rest of the day was judged out of scope for this pass). Confirmed remaining boundaries clean: begins with the genuine session-opening record (conference resumed, hymns, prayer), which belongs with this talk; ends at Ivins's own Amen.
