Benjamin Goddard · 1909 April General Conference · 1909-04-04
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the Seventy-Ninth Annual Conference (April 1909), hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1909a). OCR corrected by hand (running heads and line-break hyphenation removed, paragraphing restored, obvious OCR errors corrected). Not yet proofread line-by-line against page images. Grade reflects the officially published Conference Report.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Heavyweight pass: restored missing session-opening record (the file previously began mid-sentence, 'ed, and Prof. Elihu Call...'); corrected source_url leaf; OCR letter error fixed.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: reconstructed true reading order from the conferencereport1909a DjVu XML word coordinates (scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py). Discovered and restored a truncated session-opening record -- the file previously began mid-word/mid-sentence ('ed, and Prof. Elihu Call conducted the singing.'), missing the 'OUTDOOR MEETING.' heading and the paragraph describing the crowd overflow and outdoor venue; restored the full session record from leaf 41, and corrected source_url from n42 to n41 accordingly. Fixed one stray-apostrophe OCR error ('too,'' -> 'too,'). Confirmed remaining boundaries clean: ends at Goddard's own Amen.
