Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the Seventy-Eighth Annual Conference (April 1908), hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1908a). Heavyweight page-by-page collation against the IA scan/OCR completed: running heads, folio numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed; paragraphing restored; OCR misreads corrected against the witness. Grade reflects the officially published Conference Report.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Proofread against the Internet Archive Conference Report scan/OCR witness; boundary and OCR cleanup checked.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: authoritative IA Conference Report source verified (conferencereport1908a, opening address heading confirmed at djvu witness line 105, leaf n2); page-by-page collation against the scan/OCR witness confirmed speaker, supplied title, exact date, session, and talk order (first talk of the conference, immediately followed by John R. Winder's address at witness line 869 which was correctly excluded). Corrected OCR misreads verbatim against the witness, including providjences->providences, yean->year, incipiencey->incipiency, tjpday->today, wortls->words, reflations->revelations, undented->undefiled, yieldingt->yielding, judgmen->judgment, tyranical->tyrannical, purposq->purpose, w'ho->who, worid->world, rnv->my, belive->believe (three occurrences), wiil->will, posseses->possesses, overrules (rejoined from line-break hyphenation), ifVe->if we, and OPEiNING->OPENING in the synopsis heading. Removed stray OCR punctuation artifacts with no plausible alternative reading (unpaired quote mark, parenthesis, bracket, and asterisk; stray mid-word periods and commas) per the vault's restraint principle; left period-plausible archaic spelling 'examplars' and the print's own inconsistent Trustee-in-trust/Trustee-in-Trust capitalization as printed since both are attested in the witness rather than OCR garbling. Full word-by-word alignment against the witness text confirmed no other discrepancies.
