Nephi Pratt · 1908 April General Conference · 1908-04-05
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the Seventy-Eighth Annual Conference (April 1908), hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1908a). Heavyweight page-by-page collation against the IA scan/OCR witness confirmed talk boundary, running-head removal, and paragraphing. Grade reflects the officially published Conference Report.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Proofread against the Internet Archive Conference Report scan/OCR witness; boundary, metadata, and OCR cleanup checked. Noah final review: approved 2026-07-20 (QC repairs approved; see per-scope repairs.yaml). QC scan-tiebreak 2026-07-19: 1 site collated against conferencereport1908a leaf n46; 1-word correction, "hardshelled" -> "hard-shelled" (period colloquialism, standing hyphenated compound confirmed in print). Not a full collation. Noah final review: approved 2026-07-20 (QC repairs approved; see per-scope repairs.yaml).
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: authoritative IA Conference Report source verified (conferencereport1908a), page-anchored to n45 (printed page 44) by triangulating against adjacent already-anchored 1908a talks (Ellsworth page 41->n42, H. M. Smith page 33->n34, both offset +1 locally). Page-by-page collation against the scan/OCR witness confirmed speaker, supplied title, session, date, and talk order. Confirmed the mid-talk 'ELDER ANDREW JENSON.' line (printed page 45 running head) is not a true speaker boundary -- Pratt's talk continues seamlessly through it to its actual close ('...I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.') before the closing hymn line, and Jenson's real address begins afterward with unrelated content; boundary in this file was already correct. Corrected OCR misreads verbatim against the witness (successsful->successful, irt->in, tyranically->tyrannically, vou->you, d/octrines->doctrines, 'in creasing'->increasing, fprever->forever). Noah final review: approved 2026-07-20 (QC repairs approved; see per-scope repairs.yaml).
