Heavyweight pass: authoritative IA Conference Report source verified (conferencereport1908a); page-by-page collation against the scan/OCR witness (OCR lines 989-1456) confirmed boundary — immediately follows John R. Winder's address (ends before line 989) and immediately precedes Francis M. Lyman's address ("PRESIDENT FRANCIS M. LYMAN." heading at line 1521, after the "AFTERNOON SESSION." header at line 1484). Removed non-talk session material that had leaked into the body: the closing hymn ("Our God, we raise to Thee..."), the benediction credit, and the truncated adjournment line, none of which are part of the address. Removed a stray page-number "12" and a garbled "GENERAL CONFERENCE." running-head fragment (OCR'd as "(/ EN URAL CONFEREN CE.") that had leaked into the body mid-paragraph. Corrected OCR misreads verbatim against the witness: "If. however," -> "If, however," (comma misread as full stop), "wicked ,that" -> "wicked, that" (misplaced comma/space), "t<3 pass" -> "to pass", "vou are not a son" -> "you are not a son" (v/y misread), "despise yeu ?" -> "despise you?" (y/e misread), "twentyfive" -> "twenty-five" (the witness itself line-breaks this as "twenty-"/"five", confirming the hyphen). Cross-checked the two scripture quotations against the witness and the D&C text index: D&C 59:1-7 and D&C 45:67-71 (dated March 7, 1831, matching the revelation date) both match the 1908-printed wording verbatim, including its period-appropriate phrasing (e.g. "For them that live" vs. the modern edition's "For those that live"), which was preserved as printed rather than modernized. Stray apostrophes in "Morm'onism," "Him'," and "them'" are ambiguous OCR/print artifacts with no clear resolution and were left as printed per the restraint principle.
