B. H. Roberts · 1907 October General Conference · 1907-10-06
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the Seventy-Eighth Semi-Annual Conference (October 1907), hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1907sa). OCR corrected by hand (running heads and line-break hyphenation removed, paragraphing restored, obvious OCR errors corrected). Not yet proofread line-by-line against page images. Grade reflects the officially published Conference Report.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Heavyweight pass: anchored source_url to correct leaf; corrected fidelity_notes conference ordinal; extensive OCR letter-error cleanup throughout.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: reconstructed true reading order from the conferencereport1907sa DjVu XML word coordinates (scripts/ingest/cr-reading-order.py) to anchor source_url leaf and confirm boundaries. Corrected fidelity_notes conference ordinal (Seventy-Seventh -> Seventy-Eighth). Fixed several dozen OCR letter/spacing errors throughout this long address (e.g. theNewark -> the Newark, Ouincy -> Quincy, Toseph -> Joseph, conyerted/converted variants, reisned -> reigned, de stroyed -> destroyed, brother-inlaw -> brother-in-law, mil itary -> military, resistence -> resistance, I860 -> 1860, guitly -> guilty, peopie -> people, plus numerous stray/duplicated punctuation and missing spaces after commas). One place-name correction: 'Louis county, Tenn.' -> 'Lewis county, Tenn.' (Lewis County is a real Tennessee county; 'Louis county' is not, and the OCR L/o/u/i/s vs L/e/w/i/s confusion pattern is consistent with scans elsewhere in this volume). Confirmed boundaries clean: begins with Roberts's own opening remarks (no session-opening record misattached), ends at his own Amen.
