Joseph F. Smith · 1905 April General Conference · 1905-04-06
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the Seventy-Fifth Annual Conference (April 1905), hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1905a). OCR corrected by hand (running heads and line-break hyphenation removed, paragraphing restored, obvious OCR errors corrected). Not yet proofread line-by-line against page images. Grade reflects the officially published Conference Report.
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Light review: in-context proofread, synopsis/session-artifact cleanup, and spacing fixes. NOT a full page-by-page scan collation.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: this is an administrative roll-call record (sustaining of General Authorities), not a discourse. Fixed a garbled/dropped passage near the start ('authorities of the Chruch. All the voting was unanimous with, two excep those who had so voted...' -> restored the missing text verbatim from the IA djvu OCR: 'President Smith then presented the authorities of the Church. All the voting was unanimous with two exceptions; and President Smith invited those who had so voted...'). Removed a mid-body self-repeat running-head bleed ('GENERAL AUTHORITIES.') that had split a sentence, a stray page-number artifact ('23') that had split 'Tabernacle', and a leaked 'SECOND DAY,' session-transition fragment from the end. Fixed one OCR typo ('Tray Y. Cannon' -> 'Tracy Y. Cannon', a known historical Tabernacle Choir organist). Confirmed against conferencereport1905a. 0 QC ERRORs.
This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
