Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the Seventy-fourth Semi-Annual Conference (October 4-6, 1903), hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1903sa). OCR was reconstructed from the Internet Archive XML with the repository reading-order helper and cleaned by script (running heads and line-break hyphenation removed, paragraphing restored, and obvious OCR artifacts corrected). Heavyweight pass: collated against the djvu OCR of conferencereport1903sa (source_url page anchor confirmed). Removed a stray mid-sentence running-head fragment ('PATRIARCH JOHN SMITH.') that had been left inline, splitting one of Lund's own sentences. Found that Patriarch John Smith's entire following talk had also been merged into this file after Lund's real 'Amen' close, with no file boundary beyond an inline byline -- split it out into a new file, 1903-10-smith-patriarch-encouragement-to-faithfulness.md, transcribed verbatim from the scan. This file now correctly ends at Lund's own close.
