Lorenzo Snow · 1898 April General Conference · 1898-04-10
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the Sixty-eighth Annual Conference (April 1898), scanned by the Church History Library and hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1898a). OCR was cleaned and corrected: running heads, page numbers, and line-break hyphenation removed; obvious OCR errors fixed. Not yet proofread page-by-page against the scan images, so minor residual OCR errors may remain (status: draft, pending review).
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Light review: in-context proofread, synopsis/session-artifact cleanup, and spacing fixes. NOT a full page-by-page scan collation.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: collated against the IA djvu OCR (conferencereport1898a); confirmed talk boundaries, date/session/talk_order correct, and the closing 'Amen' genuine. Removed a leaked printed subject-list fragment from the body opening, two garbled running-head fragments mid-body ('GENERAL C OA FERE ACE', 'G&NERAL conference'), and trailing material that had bled onto the end after Snow's own Amen -- the choir's rendition of 'O My Father' sung afterward in response to his discourse, per the printed account ('At the conclusion of President Snow's discourse the choir sang...'), which is not part of the discourse itself. 0 QC ERRORs.
This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
