B. H. Roberts · 1898 April General Conference · 1898-04-07
Transcribed from the OCR of the official printed Conference Report of the Sixty-eighth Annual Conference (April 1898), scanned by the Church History Library and hosted at the Internet Archive (conferencereport1898a). Heavyweight pass recovered this discourse in full from the IA djvu OCR; exact printed page anchor not yet pinned down (retained the bare item link rather than guessing a leaf number).
No witness list recorded beyond the primary source.
Proofread against the source text.
Newly recovered during heavyweight review of this conference; not previously ingested (had been wrongly appended, in full, to the end of 1898-04-roberts-gathering-of-israel.md). Proofread against the IA djvu OCR.
Collated word-by-word against the original scan.
Heavyweight pass: this is a second, entirely distinct B. H. Roberts discourse (printed subject list: 'Great cause for serving the Lord -- Righteousness brings peace -- The war spirit among the nations') immediately following his 'Gathering of Israel' talk in the same Second Day Afternoon Session, that an earlier ingestion pass had wrongly appended whole to the end of 1898-04-roberts-gathering-of-israel.md rather than splitting it into its own file. Split it out here, verified against the IA djvu OCR (conferencereport1898a) through its own genuine 'Amen', and removed the trailing session-closing hymn/benediction that followed it. Fixed one OCR error (ould->would). 0 QC ERRORs.
