Deseret News (April 10, 17, 24; May 1, 1872) minutes of the April 6-28, 1872 General Conference (42nd Annual Conference). Conference minutes recorded by David W. Evans. Source: Journal of Discourses, Volumes 14-15. Brigham Young was absent due to legal persecution (incarcerated) but sent messages; he addressed the conference April 28 on 'His Imprisonment' and 'The Lord's Supper.' The conference ran unusually long with sessions April 6-9 and additional sessions April 14, 21, and 28. Pratt's, both G.A. Smith's, Taylor's, and both Woodruff's discourses (the six named in the session-by-session summary below) are transcribed as separate talk files. JD discourse texts for Young's April 28 remarks and the other named speakers (Rich, Smoot, Nicholson, Penrose, E. Snow, and others) are NOT yet individually transcribed — open for a follow-up pass.

Heavyweight pass: confirmed that Pratt's, both G.A. Smith's, Taylor's, and both Woodruff's discourses are already filed as separate talk files, so the minutes' prior blanket claim that JD discourse texts were 'not yet individually transcribed' was stale; fixed. newspapers.lib.utah.edu returns HTTP 418 to automated fetch, so the Deseret News minutes text could not be independently re-collated this pass — noted as a tooling limitation consistent with prior conferences in this series.
