Fidelity

○Fragmentary

Deseret News, April 12, 1871, minutes of the April 6-8, 1871 General Conference (41st Annual Conference). Reported by David W. Evans; transcribed by Feramorz Young and John Q. Cannon. Source: Journal of Discourses, Volume 14. George Q. Cannon's, Orson Pratt's, and Brigham Young's two discourses are transcribed as separate talk files. JD discourse texts for George A. Smith, Orson Hyde, Lorenzo Snow, John Taylor, and Joseph F. Smith are NOT yet individually transcribed — strong candidate for a follow-up pass.

Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Proofread against the scan/OCR witness; confirmed minutes summary is accurate and complete.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: confirmed that Cannon's, Pratt's, and Young's discourses are already filed as separate talk files, so the minutes' prior claim that they were 'not yet individually transcribed' was stale; fixed. newspapers.lib.utah.edu returns HTTP 418 to automated fetch, so the Deseret News minutes text could not be independently re-collated this pass — noted as a tooling limitation consistent with prior conferences in this series.
