Carruth CR 100 912 inventory item cr-100-912-0319. Scholarly re-transcription of George D. Watt's original Pitman shorthand report, catalogued at the Church History Library. Papers of George D. Watt MS 4534 box 4 disk 11 images 22-28. Sermon in Journal of Discourses 12:205; not in CR 100 317. Transcribed by LaJean Purcell Carruth 8 January 2013. Carruth's notes state that the printed version was heavily edited and that a substantial passage on Enoch and Zion, Brigham Young's closing testimony of Christ, and a parable on independence survive only in the shorthand; she also identifies this as the last sermon in the Journal of Discourses reported by Watt, who ceased recording after his 15 May 1868 dispute with Brigham Young over wages. Recorded as a separate witness per docs/ingestion.md's Carruth policy; the printed Journal of Discourses 12:205 text stays preferred until this transcription is reviewed against it.
Ingested; not yet independently reviewed.
