Watt MS 4534 box 5 disk 4 images 3-7. Morning sermon only in Journal of Discourses 12:157; neither sermon in CR 100 317. Transcribed by LaJean Purcell Carruth 8 July 2011. The item holds two Provo sermons delivered the same day and only the morning sermon reached print as JD 12:157, so this witness covers the morning sermon alone; Carruth heads the transcript with a warning that the JD version differs extensively from the shorthand, with shorthand passages altered or omitted and long JD passages present from unknown sources, and the unpublished afternoon sermon on municipal elections and lawyers survives only here. Recorded as a separate witness per docs/ingestion.md's Carruth policy; the printed Journal of Discourses 12:157 text stays preferred until this transcription is reviewed against it.
