Carruth CR 100 912 inventory item cr-100-912-0247. Scholarly re-transcription of George D. Watt's original Pitman shorthand report, catalogued at the Church History Library. Papers of George D. Watt MS 4534 box 4 disk 5 1866b images 4, 9-15. Second sermon only in Journal of Discourses 11:266, significantly altered; neither sermon in CR 100 317. Transcribed by LaJean Purcell Carruth 15 September 2009, corrected 20 November 2023. The item holds two sermons and this witness covers only the second, at images 9-15, which is the discourse printed at JD 11:266; image 4 carries a short pencil abstract of the earlier sermon of the same day, which Carruth notes appears not to be in Watt's hand and which was never printed. Recorded as a separate witness per docs/ingestion.md's Carruth policy; the printed Journal of Discourses 11:266 text stays preferred until this transcription is reviewed against it.
