Journal of Discourses 11:1-12transcription source

Carruth CR 100 912 inventory item cr-100-912-0414. Scholarly re-transcription of George D. Watt's original Pitman shorthand report, catalogued at the Church History Library. Papers of George D. Watt, MS 4534 box 3 disk 3 1864b images 36-43. Sermon in Journal of Discourses 11:1, heavily edited, with the extensive quotations from the Joseph Smith history at the beginning of the sermon having no basis in the shorthand; sermon not in CR 100 317. Transcribed by LaJean Purcell Carruth 13 May 2009. The shorthand heading places the sermon in the Ogden City Tabernacle at 10 o'clock, where the occasion line here records the standard Great Salt Lake City Tabernacle venue. Recorded as a separate witness per docs/ingestion.md's Carruth policy; the printed Journal of Discourses 11:1 text stays preferred until this transcription is reviewed against it.
