Watt MS 4534 box 3 disk 2 1860b images 200-205. Sermon in Journal of Discourses 8:188; not in CR 100 317. Transcribed by LaJean Purcell Carruth 13 February 2019. The shorthand preserves an opening passage the printed sermon drops entirely, in which Young disclaims any credit for being a good financier and says Brother Brigham is nothing only what the Lord Almighty has made him; Carruth marks in a footnote the point where the Journal of Discourses text begins. Recorded as a separate witness per docs/ingestion.md's Carruth policy; the printed Journal of Discourses 8:188 text stays preferred until this transcription is reviewed against it.
