Witnesses

Carruth CR 100 912 inventory item cr-100-912-0340. Scholarly re-transcription of George D. Watt's original Pitman shorthand report, catalogued at the Church History Library. Papers of George D. Watt MS 4534 box 3 disk 1 1859 images 88-94. Sermon in Journal of Discourses 7:291; not in CR 100 317. Transcribed by LaJean Purcell Carruth 10 March 2020. The shorthand uniquely preserves the setting of the meeting -- Tabernacle, Sunday afternoon, with Edward Sloan speaking before Wells -- together with a circled marginal note recording a man killed in the city that morning and United States troops from the Humboldt passing through toward Camp Floyd. Recorded as a separate witness per docs/ingestion.md's Carruth policy; the printed Journal of Discourses 7:291 text stays preferred until this transcription is reviewed against it.
