Carruth CR 100 912 inventory item cr-100-912-0527. Scholarly re-transcription of George D. Watt's original Pitman shorthand report, catalogued at the Church History Library. Papers of George D. Watt MS 4534 box 3 disk 1 1858 images 36-39. Sermon in Journal of Discourses 7:117-125; not in CR 100 317. Transcribed by LaJean Purcell Carruth January 2009; verified by Silvia Ghosh; corrected 6 August 2020. Carruth notes the printed text follows the shorthand exceptionally closely until John Taylor turns to the Missouri persecutions, from which point JD omits long sections and alters others, so the shorthand uniquely preserves that portion of the discourse. Recorded as a separate witness per docs/ingestion.md's Carruth policy; the printed Journal of Discourses 7:117-125 text stays preferred until this transcription is reviewed against it.
Ingested; not yet independently reviewed.
