Carruth CR 100 912 inventory item cr-100-912-0069. Scholarly re-transcription of George D. Watt's original Pitman shorthand report, catalogued at the Church History Library. Papers of George D. Watt MS 4534 box 2 disk 1 July 1853-August 1853 images 63-84. Sermon in Journal of Discourses 1:162; in CR 100 317 box 2 folder 17. Transcribed by LaJean Purcell Carruth 22 October 2010. Shorthand coverage is partial: it breaks off at the passage printed at JD 1:171 with Carruth's note that the shorthand for the remainder of the sermon is not extant, and her footnotes record two readings supplied from JD 1:163, including the printed phrase these treacherous red men where the shorthand reads simply natives. Recorded as a separate witness per docs/ingestion.md's Carruth policy; the printed Journal of Discourses 1:162 text stays preferred until this transcription is reviewed against it.
