Carruth CR 100 912 inventory item cr-100-912-0065. Scholarly re-transcription of George D. Watt's original Pitman shorthand report, catalogued at the Church History Library. Papers of George D. Watt MS 4534 box 1 folder 1 images 19-36. Sermon in Journal of Discourses 1:103-111, in CR 100 317 box 2, folder 8. Transcribed by LaJean Purcell Carruth 2006; revised 18 March 2024. Coverage is partial: the beginning of the sermon is missing from Watt's small notebook and the shorthand picks up only at the point corresponding to Journal of Discourses 1:104, where the express from Iron County reporting Walker's hostile feelings is described, so the witness does not cover the opening pages of the printed discourse. Recorded as a separate witness per docs/ingestion.md's Carruth policy; the printed Journal of Discourses 1:103-111 text stays preferred until this transcription is reviewed against it.
Ingested; not yet independently reviewed.
